The
Purple Mountain Hotel (Zijinshan dajiudian), named after the famous
Nanjing landmark, is elegant by international standards and offers a full range of accommodations including 400 spacious standard and executive guestrooms, suites, as well as a medley of recreational centers, shopping arcade, conference facilities, and other business services.
Location
The hotel is located at the Pudong Lujiazui Economic and Trade Zone,
near the Pudong subway station, and about 30 minute from the Pudong
International Airport.
This is a convenient location for those here on
business, although with the new subway system it is also not inconvenient from
here to visit the city's main sights.
Rooms & Rates
The hotel has more than 400 well-decorated guestrooms of different types: Standard, deluxe suites, and executive rooms. Their broad windows offer inspiring views over both sides of the Huangpu River, the time-honored Bund, and the burgeoning Lujiazui area in Pudong.
Available in all rooms are central air-conditioners, an electric safe, IDD/DDD telephone facilities, satellite TV, electric kettle, mini-bar, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Located in the business rooms are also individual fax machines. In addition, the hotel has non-smoking rooms and rooms designed for the disabled.
Facilities
here are varied, from recreational services such as a swimming pool, a gym, a
bowling alley, a sauna, to more functional areas, such as the shopping arcade.
Business facilities include conference rooms that have interpretation systems,
LCD projectors, translators, and a business center that has fax, photocopying,
ticket reservation, mailing services & Internet access.
For
dining there is both a Chinese and a western restaurant and a coffee shop. The
western restaurant, at the top of the hotel, is particularly good, with great
views of the city or the Huangpu River.
